Caracaskgjhf' En el momento de su fundación, más de cuatrocientos años atrás, el valle de Caracas estaba poblada por los pueblos indígenas.Francisco Fajardo, hijo de un capitán español y una cacica Guaiquerí, trató de establecer una plantación en el valle en 1562 después de fundar una serie de ciudades costeras. Solución de Fajardo no durará mucho tiempo. Fue destruida por los nativos de la región encabezada por Terepaima y Guaicaipuro. Esta fue la última rebelión por parte de los nativos. El 25 de julio de 1567,El capitán Diego de Losada puso los cimientos de la ciudad de Santiago de León de la fundación Caracas.The -1567 - "Tomo posesión de esta tierra en nombre de Dios y el Rey "Este fue las palabras de don Diego de Losada en la fundación de la ciudad de Caracas, 25 de julio de 1567. Durante el siglo 17, la costa de Venezuela fue asaltada con frecuencia por los piratas. Con las montañas de la costa como una barrera, Caracas fue relativamente inmune a este tipo de ataques - una de las razones por las que se convirtieron en la principal ciudad de la región. Sin embargo, en la década de 1680, los bucaneros cruzaron las montañas a través de un paso poco utilizado, mientras que los defensores de la ciudad estaban custodiando más de uso frecuente, y, encontrando poca resistencia, saquearon y prendieron fuego a la ciudad. El cultivo del cacao en la Compañía Guipuzcoana de Caracas, estimuló el desarrollo de la ciudad, que en 1777 se convirtió en la capital de la Capitanía General de Venezuela. Un intento de revolución para lograr la independencia organizada por José María España y Manuel Gual fue sofocada el 13 de julio de 1797. Pero las ideas de la Revolución Francesa y las Guerras de Independencia de América inspirado a la gente, y el 5 de julio de 1811, un Declaración de la Independencia se firmó en Caracas. Esta ciudad fue también la cuna de dos de América Latina la mayoría de figuras importantes de la Guerra de Independencia de Venezuela: Francisco de Miranda y "El Libertador" Simón Bolívar.Un terremoto destruyó Caracas el 26 de marzo de 1812, que fue interpretado por las autoridades como un castigo divino por la rebelión contra la corona española. La guerra continuó hasta el 24 de junio de 1821, cuando Bolívar ganó una victoria decisiva sobre los realistas en la Batalla de Carabobo. A medida que la economía de la Venezuela rica en petróleo creció en forma sostenida durante la primera parte del siglo 20, Caracas se convirtió en uno de América Centros económicos de Estados Unidos, y también se conoce como el centro favorito para los viajeros entre Europa y América del Sur. Durante la década de 1950,Caracas comenzó un programa de modernización intensiva, que continuó a lo largo de los años 1960 y 1970. La Universidad Central de Venezuela, diseñado por el arquitecto modernista Carlos Raúl Villanueva y declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, fue construido. Nueva trabajadora de clase media y barrios residenciales germinadas en el valle, se extiende el área urbana hacia eleste y sureste. Junto a El Silencio, también diseñada por Villanueva, fueron los distritos de varios trabajadores de vivienda, 23 de Enero y Simón Rodríguez. La evolución de la clase media son Bello Monte, Los Palos Grandes, Chuao y El Cafetal.El 17 de octubre de 2004, una de las torres de Parque Central se incendió. El dramático cambio en la estructura económica de la país, que pasó de ser principalmente agrícola depende de la producción de petróleo, estimuló el rápido desarrollo de Caracas, y la convirtió en un imán para la gente en las comunidades rurales que emigraron a la ciudad capital de una manera no planificada en busca de mejores oportunidades económicas.
